I have to say, I’m a bit disappointed in the gift guides I’ve seen out there this holiday season. So many posts claim to have a gift for every type of mom, or affordable luxury gifts… Whatever that means. But they don’t have anything I would ever want, or anything I can afford. I wanted to create the ultimate gift guide. My goal is to create a massive post with tons of options of the best Christmas gifts for moms.
I want there to be something for every mom, every budget, and every lifestyle. Tall order, I know. I’ll probably fall short, because, let’s be honest, there are a lot of moms out there. And they are all different! But I’m going to continually update this list any time I come across a great gift idea.
I am going to direct this towards the dad’s, because, let’s be real here, mom is probably the one who found this post, but Dad is the one who needs to read it. Do not get the mother of your children one more gift she won’t use. Get something off this list, instead. 😉
Momma, if you’re reading this, I won’t blame you for accidentally leaving this page open on your computer for hubby to find. And Dad, if you’re the one reading this, I think this list has something for every mom. So bookmark this bad boy and get ready for your best Christmas ever!

NOTE: I have been compensated for some of these products, but by no means all of them. I include affiliate links where I can, but often I wasn’t able to. Everything on this list is on here because I fully believe in it, not because of any potential compensation.
Get Mom Caffeinated
Perfect for: every damn mom that needs caffeine
Is there a better gift than coffee (if you drink it)? Trick question, because it depends what coffee you’re getting. As a mom, my coffee is rarely consumed piping hot. And a lot of coffees are horrible once they cool, and even worse once they’re reheated.
Which is why I like Mama Java! It is made by a hilarious, hot mess momma who knows what motherhood is like. That’s why all their coffees taste just as good hot, lukewarm, ice cold, or reheated. No joke. I have let mine sit out far too long, and it was still delicious. I’ve also reheated it, which I can’t get away with using other brands. But this stuff is amazeballs. I honestly don’t know how they make it. But it’s magical.
So, hubs, snag your sweet wife some of their special holiday blends – one of which is snickerdoodle coffee (seriously, I won’t tell if you steal a mug-full)! Use code OURPARENTPLACE for 10% off, that’s my gift to you! Happy wife, happy life. And happiness only comes once we’re caffeinated. Clearly.

Now, I know that some people don’t like coffee, for whatever reason. But what about super caffeinated, healthy, moringa tea? Miracle Tree Tea is amazing, and actually good for you! If you follow me on Instagram, you already know how much I love this stuff (if you’re not following me, go ahead and do it!). I bought four more boxes of their chai tea because it is heaven on earth.
You can use their superfood infusions as a coffee replacement, if you feel so inclined. Basically, I just listen to my taste buds and alternate between coffee and tea. Plus, when I drink my tea, I get to feel awesome about my choices. Moringa is considered one of the most nutrient-dense plants on the planet! Its leaves contain over 90 different nutrients and Miracle Tree is certified organic and ethically sourced. This is definitely worth a taste.
Get it Engraved
Perfect for: the sentimental momma, the mom who already has a lot of jewelry and wants something unique, the hot mess mom who needs a special reminder that she’s doing great.
There are so many options for this one, but here’s my thinking. Yes, most of us women like jewelry. But it can be so meh. I know I sound so spoiled right now, but I just know I can’t be alone in this! Like, I love a beautiful ring as much as anyone, but at the end of the day, it’s just a ring. Talk about a first world problem, right?
Instead, get some jewelry that is engraved with a treasured memory. You get a beautiful piece that you know she’ll wear, but with the added bonus of all the feels she’ll get when she wears it. Not to mention how excited she’ll be that you chose something super meaningful for her.
If she loves simplistic, timeless pieces, I would highly recommend checking out Isabelle Grace. Their items are so delicate and elegant. They will look good on anyone! And they have a ton of customizable options. I think I’m going to add birthstones to mine next year.

A Subscription Box for Two
Perfect for: the romantic momma, or really any mom in a committed relationship.
A gift that keeps on giving, all year! Woohoo! This is the age of subscription boxes. You can legitimately get a box for any damn thing.
Meat lovers? Yep. Vegans? You bet. Plus-sized fashionistas? Of course. Makeup junkies? Duh. There is a box for everyone.
Hear me out on this, but I would highly recommend a subscription to Night in Boxes. First of all, because they are a truly amazing company. Second, because it’s a gift for both of you. And a gift for your marriage. It’s a bit of a no-brainer.
I’ve been working with Night In Boxes for a couple of months now and I’ve yet to be disappointed by their boxes. They’re also such an amazing company. The people who pack their boxes are disabled, so each purchase helps these amazing people stay gainfully employed. How’s that for a bit of Christmas magic?
Use the code NIBWINTER for 15% off your purchase!

If you want to read more about Date Night In Boxes, here are some of my reviews: Blind Date, Game Night, and Aloha (pictured above).
A Photo Shoot for Mom
Perfect for: the sentimental mommy, any mom that has ever said I wish we had a great family photo
Tis the season… to stalk your local Facebook groups for a nearby photographer running a good sale! The obvious bonus is you get to help support a local artist!
I usually see different sales, bundles, packages, whatever, offered year-round. But it’s always a good idea to see if anyone nearby has a sale on their services. I seriously love these local Facebook groups. My tiny town has like eight of them, not even kidding.
Now, obviously, you’ll have to involve your wife at some point. Do not, I repeat, do not try to surprise your wife by taking her to the destination and surprise a family photo shoot. If you ignore this warning, the divorce/sleeping-on-the-couch-forever is entirely on you.
Get Mom’s Photos off Her Phone
Perfect for: the mom that snaps a thousand photos a day and then does nothing with them (I’m 100% guilty)
Okay, time for some real talk. I take a lot of pictures of my son. Like, a lot. Often, I just keep snapping when he hasn’t even moved. Just in case I get a better shot after the 18th try.
But then, the unwanted side-effect of this compulsive photo-taking is that I have a billion pictures to sort through. And not only does nobody have time for that, nobody particularly wants to do it. After about 800 photos, my brain kind of shuts down and I can’t distinguish a good photo from a pillow.
So, this is where the doting husband comes to the rescue. Her photos are likely all on some sort of cloud storage, or saved somewhere that you can access, yeah? Start accessing!
Pick some all-time favorites and get them printed. You can keep it simple and just print out a bunch of standard-sized photos from your local drugstore and put them under the tree. Or you can put those pictures into a photo album. Or you can get a couple printed larger and frame them.
Okay, the possibilities are endless. These days, you can take a favorite photo and essentially decorate an entire house with it. Plates, pillows, blankets, phone cases, etc. So this option does give you a lot of freedom, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.
Give Mom her DNA Profile
Perfect for:Â a mom that isn’t sure about her ancestry and is curious, a mom curious about her genes, any mom that has wanted to know more about herself.
Unless you live off the grid (in which case, I’m not sure how you’re reading this), you’ve heard of the DNA testing kits that are so popular. The only one I have experience with is AncestryDNA. The other popular one is 23andMe
. You’ll probably want to look at both and decide which will work for you.
My parents both used AncestryDNA and were happy with it. My dad was adopted, so he never knew much about his heritage and where his ancestors may have come from. As far as I understand it, AncestryDNA
tells you more about your heritage, whereas 23andMe
tells you more about your genetics and what it may mean for you.
Both companies have great reviews, so I think they’re both a safe bet, depending on what you’d like to know. I think they’re really interesting, even for people who know their birth parents and know a little bit about their ancestors. It’s always fascinating (at least, it is to me) to learn about the past and where you’re from.
Give a Gift to Someone Else
Perfect for: the mom with everything, the mom that gets mad if you splurge on her, or the mom that loves to give and volunteer
Wait, what? This is a guide on what to give moms, right? Yes, yes it is.
However, sometimes it feels good to help others! So, consider donating to a charitable cause on Mom’s behalf. There are so many noble causes to choose from! You can definitely find something that will be special to her.
A dear friend of mine (and fellow blogger at Alta Mira Horsemanship) works for the non-profit organization Matsiko World Orphan Choir that helps kids in need. You can donate any amount, or you can sponsor a child.
They do amazing work to help at-risk and orphaned children obtain a college education. When you sponsor a child, you get a picture of the kid you’re helping, plus you can actually write to them! How sweet would it be to wrap that picture up and put it under the tree?
Of course, there are tons of other options out there, so if that doesn’t feel like a good fit, I’m sure you can find something else that really speaks to you.
Mom Needs a Watch with a Purpose
Perfect for:Â the perpetually late mom (just kidding, blame that on the kids, not her lack of a timepiece), the charitable but still material momma, the watch lover, and the mom that loves to accessorize
So, maybe you’re not ready to be, like, 100% selfless. Maybe you want a tangible gift to put under the tree, but you still want to give back. No judgment, that’s totally fine! Well, you can make your dollar count by ordering a watch from Elements Watches!
They create super simplistic watches that each give back to a different cause. Here is how it works: blue is for education, pink is for breast cancer, orange (mine) is for animal cruelty, and red is for AIDS. You pick your color, your face size, and your band. Then, 10% of your purchase goes to the corresponding charity. So easy!
So instead of getting her a plain, non-charitable watch, try a watch from Elements. Their watches are all currently on sale, as well, when you use my link!

Give Mom an Experience
Perfect for: the mom that puts herself last (don’t we all), who doesn’t do anything just for her, or the mom who you know has been putting off trying/doing something
Something that’s super trendy right now is gifting someone an “experience”. Basically, giving them a voucher or gift card to a specific event or activity you think they’ll love. My brother and his wife gave my parents tickets to an escape room one year.
So, has Mom always wanted to do something but can never justify the time and/or money? Now is your chance to give her the push she needs! Dance classes, skydiving, scuba lessons, tickets to the opera.
Whatever her thing is, find something that will capture that. The sweet part about this one is it shows your partner how well you know them. By getting them tickets to a musical they once mentioned wanting to see, you’re showing them that you listen and care. And isn’t that what gift-giving is all about?
I always check Groupon for things like this. You can almost always find awesome deals for things you may not want to spend tons of money on. I’m not an affiliate or anything, I just wanna help you have the best Christmas ever!
Breastmilk or Keepsake Jewelry
Perfect for: the sentimental mommy, a breastfeeding mom – but that’s not a requirement, read on!
If you’ve spent any time on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some beautiful pieces of jewelry made with breastmilk. If not, pick your jaw up off the floor and get ready to have your mind blown.
Artists can take your breastmilk and mix it in their special stuff to create beautiful beads, pearls, “gems”, etc. It is seriously amazing.
If your wife never breastfed, no worries! They can also make jewelry out of umbilical stumps, a lock of baby’s hair; pretty much anything small enough, really. Obviously, you’ll want to check with the particular artist before just sending them something crazy.
Lait de la Vie is a big name in this industry and they make absolutely breathtaking jewelry. They also have a bunch of Black Friday sales coming up.
If you can’t handle the wait (they send you something to put your keepsake in, then you mail it, they make it, they send it back) there is a sort of DIY option. You can buy kits off of Etsy or Amazon. This way, you’re only waiting for the kit to arrive. Then, Mom decides what she wants and makes it herself!
Obviously, the DIY route is going to be a bit more limited as far as designs, but it’s much more affordable, too. This is what I want for Christmas, so I don’t actually have any of this (full disclosure here!). But Lait de la Vie has great reviews, has been featured in big publications, and creates beautiful pieces, so I feel confident linking to them.
Give Mom the Gift of Organization
Perfect for: the hot mess mom who can never remember anything, or the type-a organized-to-a-fault (is there such a thing?) mom
Oh em gee. So, I’m the type of person who frantically searches the house for her keys when they’re in her hand. I forget appointments moments after making them. I am a complete and total mess. And I’ve never really tried using a planner or otherwise fixing this personality quirk.
But then I saw the Denise Albright planners and my heart started beating all funny. All the colors just speak to my soul. And the fun, unique stickers make my spirit sing. Like, seriously. Take a gander at these products and tell me they aren’t just the cutest!
In addition to the rainbow of colors, there’s even more to love. Get your wife the Dad Pad, and you’ve got a favorite Christmas gift for mom right there! What wife doesn’t want an official honey-do list?

I also adore their Gratitude Finder. It’s all about helping you find happiness right where you are by cultivating an attitude of gratitude. If you think Mom would be into a little gratefulness project, definitely check that out. I’ve just ordered mine and I can’t even wait till it gets here! I’ll update this once it arrives! (UPDATE: I am completely obsessed with my Reminder Binder! It is life!)
Denise Albright has 10% off, as well, when you use code OURPARENTPLACE. You’re welcome!

Give Mom the Gift of a Clean House
Perfect for: every mom, seriously. Unless she already owns it, she’s gonna love this.
This isn’t really anything groundbreaking or new, but if your family doesn’t own one, you’ll want to hunt down a good Black Friday deal!
If your wife has ever complained about a messy house, get her a Roomba vacuum! Yes! One of those robot vacuum cleaners. Like I said, the idea itself isn’t revolutionary. But once you have one in your life… Oh, boy.
They also make a robotic mop! Maybe for her birthday. Okay, maybe not.
Normally I wouldn’t suggest a household appliance. I mean, I know it’s cliche and outdated. However, this gift is meant to relieve her of these household duties. Maybe you should address it to both of you, or to your house. 😛
Either way, I really think she would love this. Think of how clean the floors will be. And how little effort. More time to binge-watch Netflix!
Give Mom Amazon Prime
Perfect for: any human being that doesn’t have Amazon Prime
If you don’t already have Amazon Prime, this is going to revolutionize the way you all live. Seriously. Get ready to not leave the house for a few weeks. You’ll just be ordering everything with your fancy new Prime subscription.
There’s a reason that basically every good gift guide aimed at moms includes Amazon Prime. It is amazing. It’s the type of amazing that you don’t really know you’re missing until you experience it.
I mean, is it necessary? No, nothing about Christmas is really necessary. But it’s going to make mom’s life easier. You can subscribe to things you need often (diapers, toilet paper, etc) and save even more money. You can order pretty much anything, and get it delivered in two business days.
Plus there are other, lesser-known benefits:
- You can store photos for free in your Amazon Photo Vault, which also includes 5GB of cloud storage
- You get early access to deals
- Amazon Music is included in your membership, which is an ad-free music service similar to Spotify
- You can get Sample Boxes packed full of samples! You do pay a small fee, but it’s credited back to your account. Don’t ask me why.
- Amazon Family saves you 20% on diapers (do I even need to go on?)
- Amazon Video lets you watch TV and movies – some of which you can download and watch without an internet connection
There are more perks, but I’m worn out! Just take the plunge. You’ll never look back! Here’s the link to a 30-day free trial for Amazon Family and here’s the link for 30 days of Amazon Prime.
The Best Christmas Gifts for Moms
This list is definitely not complete. But I wanted to get something up to help you out! I am going to update this until it is complete, but hopefully, it’ll be done around the first week of December. Until then, check back. And follow along on Instagram where I’ll share some of my absolute favorites!
