I am so ready to bring you guys another update on this book I’m reading. I can’t wait to dish the details!
If you haven’t read the first two posts, you can check the first one out here and the second one here. Otherwise, let’s jump in.

This post is sponsored by “Always Eat After 7PM”. All opinions are my own.
When I first started reading Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion, I knew I wanted more energy and to physically feel better. Any weight loss would just be an added bonus.
As I’ve read more and more of this book, I’ve really appreciated how everything is broken down. Marion includes so much science to back up his claims, which is something I like in a book that proposes a lot of “rule breaking”.
I’ve also been impressed with the recipes. They range from really simple to more elaborate, but none are super hard. With a toddler hanging onto me, I tend to go for the ones with very little prep time.
I did make the fruit tart recipe, though, even though it was from scratch! Gasp! When you tweak a few basic ingredients, you can change this classic from a sugar-coma-waiting-to-happen into a tasty and healthy treat. Who knew dieting could taste so good?

I’m also excited to try his “All Spiced Up Roasted Chickpeas”, but ran out of canned chickpeas. Hopefully I’ll be able to update you in my next post.
The way Always Eat After 7PM is written, it’s really easy to digest. There are plenty of charts, lists, and tips throughout. He explains the reasoning behind every little part of this diet, and I really like knowing the why before I just jump into something.
We’ve been taught (especially recently) to avoid carbs, eat an early dinner and then not again till breakfast, and never eat snacks before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this is not the most ideal. Here’s an example of why it’s okay to eat carbs:
“Despite all the bad press over the years, certain carbohydrates play an important role in balancing your hormones and regulating your metabolic rate, while avoiding the dreaded weight loss plateaus that accompany conventional mainstream diets. Furthermore, when you eat these carbohydrates, you’ll feel much better than you would if you were following a traditional diet.”
I am all about eating carbs, so this makes me really happy to hear. So far I’m really enjoying this plan and I hope to continue it long term. I’m actually trying to get my husband to do it with me because I think he’d really benefit.
I’ll let you know if he joins me in my next post!
